well, here are some tips
  • AMCAT is an adaptive test, meaning that the next question will soley depend upon how you perform the current question, if you answer the question correctly then the next question will be a bit of higher level, and if you answer the next question correctly, then the level will raise, but not that much that first question you are getting a "log" question and suddenly you get a probablity question using P&c. And going through the path of delibrately incorrecting the question hoping that you will get easy questions afterwards is also vague, and alternatively correcting the question hoping that you will get a balanced paper is also vague Tongue . getting around 800 marks / 900 marks will fetch you 100% in AMCAT, be sure that you answer minimum number of questions else you will get -1.
  • For quants. go through RS Aggarwal, be sure that you solve both the solved questions and unsolved, they will help a lot in amcat and placement interviews.
  • Go through indiabix.com/m4maths.com for data sufficiency and other type questions, there are abundant questions given there and good practice.
  • Max to max a serious week prep. is needed for AMCAT.

for programming part, brush up your C/C++, DBMS, OS, Java.. in Java debugging you will be given a code and you need to find errors or optimize the code. For verbal part if you get the passage, dont skip the passage, read the passage but dont take much time, its similar to GRE RC, which you can practice easily on the web. There are about 2 passages in english section. You must read a passage within 1 min 20 seconds and answer the 2-3 question within 2 minutes.

well computer programming questions can be from anywhere related to c/c++/java/oops concepts, and computer science info can be anywhere from computer science domain, indiabix, m4maths , these are some good sites that will help.

I know AMCAT is an adaptive test , As their is no negative marking then why did you say attempt minimum no. of questions. Plz clarify

There is a rule in AMCAT to attempt a min number of questions to qualify, these are the rules set by AMCAT, nothing can be done about this.
